Dr. Christopher Kent Promoted to Vice President for Presidential Initiatives at Sherman College of Chiropractic
Spartanburg, SC (01/06/2026) — Sherman College of Chiropractic is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Christopher Kent to Vice President for Presidential Initiatives. Dr. Kent has long demonstrated dedicated leadership, previously serving as a member of the Sherman Board of Trustees and contributing decades of insight, collaboration, and commitment to the chiropractic profession.
"Dr. Kent consistently takes on complex initiatives with thoughtful leadership and has been a steadfast advocate for advancing Sherman College's vision and mission," said Dr. Jack Bourla, President of Sherman College of Chiropractic. "His many accomplishments and ongoing contributions make him exceptionally well-suited for this important role, and I am thrilled to see the innovative progress he will continue to bring to Sherman and to the chiropractic profession."
In his new role, Dr. Kent is leading several priority projects, including exploring Competency-Based Education, building relationships with Doctors of Chiropractic and government authorities in Kenya to assess the feasibility of a branch campus in Africa, overseeing International Agency for Chiropractic Evaluation (IACE) monitoring for government recognition, and evaluating opportunities for an office in downtown Spartanburg to expand Sherman's Intern outreach program.
