Fourteen Students Enroll in Sherman College of Chiropractic's 2026 Spring Class

Fourteen students from across the United States began their professional chiropractic journey by enrolling in Sherman College of Chiropractic's rigorous, philosophy-driven Doctor of Chiropractic program in the 2026 Spring quarter in Spartanburg, South Carolina. "Every new class reminds us of the incredible potential of chiropractic and the difference our students will make in the world," said Dr. Jack Bourla, president of Sherman College of Chiropractic. "We are inspired by their dedication and excited to see how their education here will shape not just their futures, but the lives of the communities they serve." As they begin their studies, these new students join a close-knit academic community dedicated to excellence in education, service, and the advancement of chiropractic through principled practice. Throughout the program, students pursue an intensive curriculum integrating chiropractic philosophy, science, art, and hands-on clinical experience. Sherman College's immersive approach prepares graduates to enter practice with confidence, clarity of purpose, and a strong commitment to serving patients and communities through chiropractic care. The Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program at Sherman College requires students to complete nearly 5,000 hours of classroom and laboratory study over 14 quarters, including an internship at the college's on-campus Chiropractic Center. To enter the D.C. program, students must have completed at least 90 semester hours of college-level coursework, including science courses. We welcome these students and look forward to sharing their educational journey as they grow into confident, purpose-driven chiropractic professionals.

Twenty Students Enroll in Sherman College of Chiropractic's 2026 Winter Class

The Sherman College Chiropractic Center recognizes an intern each month who demonstrates excellence in clinical performance, patient management, professionalism, and analytical and adjusting technique. This honor reflects a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. DC2B Jared Clontz, a 12th-quarter intern from Charlotte, NC, was recently recognized as an Intern of the Month for May 2026. "I am truly honored to be recognized as the intern of the month. I would like to thank Dr. Guest for his guidance and mentorship during my time at the Sherman College Chiropractic Center, as well as all the faculty and staff who have aided me in my journey toward becoming a chiropractor. For those of you who know my story, it has certainly been a long and challenging road, and I thank you all for your support. For those who don't, I encourage you to stay strong, keep your head up and overcome. I believe in you; the obstacle is the way." Steven's plan after graduating is to move to Washington State to serve the communities of the Olympic Peninsula. With Olympic National Park as his backyard, he looks forward to enjoying hikes in the Evergreen State while helping his new community live a subluxation-free life. The Sherman College Chiropractic Center recognizes an intern each month who demonstrates excellence in clinical performance, patient management, professionalism, and analytical and adjusting technique. This honor reflects a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. DC2B Olivia Miller, a 12th-quarter intern from Ottawa, OH, was recently recognized as an Intern of the Month for April 2026. "I am truly honored to be recognized as Intern of the Month. I want to thank the case doctors who have supported me throughout this journey, especially Dr. Gardner and Dr. Hock. Their guidance, patience, and encouragement have shaped the way I care for my patients and have helped me to adapt as life and clinic have become more challenging. This past year has been one of great personal and professional growth for me. I am grateful to my patients for trusting me, learning with me, and allowing me to walk alongside them in their health journey. The most meaningful part of this experience has been caring for patients throughout my own pregnancy. Adjusting patients while nine months pregnant has been a powerful reminder of how resilient, adaptable and intelligent the body truly is. After graduation, I plan to return to Northwest Ohio to serve expecting mothers and children. My passion is to support the body's innate ability to heal during the postpartum period, helping women recover, adapt, and thrive in new motherhood." Sherman College of Chiropractic Selects First Students for the Upper Cervical Specialty Program

Sherman College of Chiropractic is proud to recognize the first interns selected for the new Upper Cervical Specialty Program. These seven students represent the first group chosen for this advanced training opportunity and include Brandon Duncan, Brooklyn Falslev, Sarina Gilliland, Joshua (Caleb) Green, Julia Gumirov, Matthew Sopha, and Albert (Rome) Wallace. Established in 2026, the program provides advanced education and clinical experience in upper cervical chiropractic care while supporting Sherman College's initiative to strengthen upper cervical clinical application and to ensure students have opportunities for advanced training in this critical area of chiropractic practice. The program offers focused training in upper cervical analysis, radiographic evaluation, patient management, and clinical applications. Through direct mentorship and hands-on clinical experience, interns further develop the analytical precision, clinical judgment, and technical excellence required for upper cervical practice.

Sherman College Inducts DC2B Kialine Denis into Academy of Chiropractic Excellence

The Sherman College of Chiropractic Technique Department proudly celebrates the induction of DC2B Kialine Denis as the newest intern in the Academy of Chiropractic Excellence (ACE). The ACE Program recognizes student interns who demonstrate exceptional skill, precision, and dedication through specialized technique testing. In addition to serving as a Chiropractic Center intern, the ACE designation allows Denis to serve as a peer tutor and assistant in technique classes, supporting both faculty and fellow students while helping to uphold Sherman's high standards of chiropractic education. "Kialine brings an enthusiasm and commitment to chiropractic education that is truly inspiring," said Dr. Alan Brewster, ACE Program manager and director of The Center for Research and Scholarly Activity. "She has embraced the pursuit of chiropractic excellence, and her contributions to our technique program will have a lasting impact." Kialine's achievement reflects not only individual excellence but also a commitment to service, mentorship, and continuous growth within the profession. Sherman College congratulates Kialine Denis on this outstanding accomplishment.

Twenty-two Complete Doctor of Chiropractic Program at Sherman College

Forty-two students from around the US received the doctor of chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The graduates participated in the college's 151st commencement ceremony, held on the Sherman campus at the Drs. Thom and Betty Gelardi Student Center Auditorium. Students were recognized throughout the ceremony for academic honors, outstanding service and volunteerism, clinical excellence, and exceptional distinction in philosophy. The commencement speaker was Tim Guest, D.C., Sherman associate professor of clinical sciences, Chiropractic Center case doctor, and associate chair of clinical curriculum. The student farewell addresses to classmates were given by Elizabeth Erin Travis for the June 2026 class and by Yelena Sokol for the September 2026 class. The Milton W. Garfunkel Award, Sherman College's highest graduation honor, was presented to Elizabeth Erin Travis.

Sherman College Chiropractic Health Center Names Intern of the Month

The Sherman College Chiropractic Center recognizes an intern each month who demonstrates excellence in clinical performance, patient management, professionalism, and analytical and adjusting technique. This honor reflects a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. The February 2026 intern of the month is DC2B Brandon Duncan, an 11th-quarter intern from Maple Valley, Washington. "I am truly honored and humbled to be selected as Intern of the Month. First and foremost, I give thanks to God for guiding my path and sustaining me through every season of this journey. I am deeply grateful to my wife, Kayla, and our children, Eli and Rhea, for their constant support and sacrifice, and to my mentors, Dr. Gwendolyn Gardner, Dr. Christine Theodossis, and Drs. Amy and R. T. 'Doc' Holliday, and Dr. Stan Pierce Jr.,for their leadership, wisdom, and belief in me. I also want to thank my patients for trusting me with their health - it is a responsibility I do not take lightly. My background in military service instilled in me the values of service, discipline, and accountability, which continue to shape how I show up for my patients and my profession. Chiropractic care is a calling, and I am grateful to serve alongside such an incredible community here at Sherman." Interns Join the Sherman College Chiropractic Center

Thirty-three interns are now ready to serve their community and see patients at the Sherman College Chiropractic Center, a teaching clinic for students in their final stage of internship prior to graduation from the doctor of chiropractic program. Interns celebrated the start of the final phase of their chiropractic education at a pinning ceremony on January 16 at the Sherman campus in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The college live-streamed the event so interns' family and friends could watch from out of town. "As our students transition into their clinical internships at the Sherman College Chiropractic Center, they take a major step forward in their professional journey," said Sherman President Dr. Jack Bourla. "Through rigorous academic preparation and hands-on training, they are equipped to provide safe, effective, and compassionate chiropractic care to the people of Spartanburg and the surrounding communities. These interns represent the next generation of principled chiropractors-committed, capable, and ready to serve, sharing the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic. We are proud of their accomplishments and excited to see them begin this important phase of their education and calling."

Sherman College Names DC2B Arianne Colabella 2025 Lyceum Student Leader of the Year

Spartanburg, S.C. - Sherman College of Chiropractic honored alumni, chiropractors, and supporters during its 52nd Lyceum event, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held annually for three days, consisting of seminars, special events, and other programs. Over 800 individuals participated in this year's event, held May 1-3 on the Sherman campus in Spartanburg. The college is proud to announce that DC2B Arianne Colabella has been named the 2025 Lyceum Student Leader of the Year. Arianna, also known as "Air," is an 11th-quarter student at Sherman who has made significant contributions to campus life. Serving as Secretary of the Chiropractic Student Government for 2024 and 2025, she is also Sherman College's representative to the NBCE Leadership Forum. Air is deeply involved in various aspects of campus, including her roles on the Student Conduct Review Board, the Clinic Advisory Board, and as the founder of both the Military Banquet Initiative and The Remarkable Practice Club. In addition to her leadership roles, Air has served as Vice President of the Torque Release Technique Club, participated in the FOCUS and ICPA clubs, and made creative contributions to Sherman College by winning a bookstore t-shirt design contest. As a Student Ambassador, she actively participates in Showcase Sherman events, helping attract new students to the college. Air has also been named Chiropractic Center Intern of the Month. Air's commitment to professional development is evident in her pursuit of ICPA Certification by the Academy of Chiropractic Pediatrics. She plans to open a family chiropractic practice in Charleston, South Carolina, in the summer of 2026 alongside her fiance, Tyler Hawke, a December 2024 graduate of Sherman College.

The ceremony took place at the Drs. Thom and Betty Gelardi Student Center Auditorium on the Sherman campus. The event included commencement speaker Bobby Findley, D.C., A.C.P., Sherman instructor of clinical sciences and case doctor at the college's Chiropractic Center, as well as student farewell addresses to classmates from Nofar Gabay Nugent, a native of Israel, for the June class, and Riley Block of Virginia, for the September class.
