Interns Complete Clinic Challenge Experience at Sherman College

Fifty-four interns completed the Clinic Challenge Experience (CCX) during the spring 2019 quarter at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. CCX was designed to help students make a successful transition from classroom to chiropractic internship by sharpening their professional focus, energizing their passion for chiropractic and exposing them to success principles for practice. The ropes course on Sherman College's campus consists of a variety of "challenges by choice" - using ropes, pulleys, walls, platforms, poles - all of which present students with the opportunity to use problem-solving skills and teamwork. Facilitators and teammates encourage participants to face and overcome whatever fears are blocking their ability to accomplish the tasks. The doctor of chiropractic program at Sherman College requires students to complete approximately 4,600 hours (14 quarters) of classroom and laboratory study and also includes an internship in the college's on-campus Chiropractic Health Center.
